Our Chest Diseases department provides services in all health problems related to the respiratory system with its expert physician staff and advanced technological equipment. Our department, which has an experienced physician staff especially in the field of bronchoscopy and interventional bronchoscopy; In the interventional bronchoscopy unit, it can apply many relaxing and therapeutic methods such as stent relief of stenosis in the trachea, closure of fistulas in the airways, treatment of benign tumours in the airway with electrocautery and argon plasma. In addition to the classical pulmonary function test in the Respiratory Function Laboratory within our department; CO Diffusion Test (DLCO) measurements can also be performed in very few centres on the Anatolian side.
In advanced chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; endobronchial volume reduction techniques (bronchoscopic endobronchial valve technique), which have been developed in recent years and have achieved successful results, are closely monitored and successfully applied by our experienced doctors working in our department.
Allergens causing respiratory allergic diseases (allergic asthma, allergic bronchitis and allergic rhinitis) are quickly and accurately detected by skin prick tests.
Obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome is diagnosed and treated with sleep tests (polysomnography) performed in the Sleep Laboratory. Sleep test results are analysed with a multidisciplinary approach in collaboration with the departments of Chest Diseases, Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases and Neurology and the necessary treatment plan is prepared.
